NCZI: 71,000 Universal Vaccination Certificates Issued by Tuesday Morning

Bratislava, May 25 (TASR) - The National Health Information Centre had issued more than 71,000 new universal digital certificates confirming COVID-19 vaccinations by Tuesday morning, centre spokeswoman Veronika Bauch told TASR on the same day.
Anyone who has been vaccinated has been eligible as of Monday to ask for a certificate, which is a temporary measure and will be valid until August 11. It is then expected to be replaced by the EU’s digital green certificate.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry should now report on what countries will accept the Slovak temporary certificate.
The certificate contains a QR code with a verification link. Even those who’ve received only their first COVID-19 shot are eligible to apply for the document. Meanwhile, the digital document is not identical to the one that people receive following inoculation in vaccination centres.
