Bratislava, October 13 (TASR) - The Supreme Court on Wednesday turned down appeals filed in the case of the premeditated murder of former mayor of Hurbanovo (Nitra region) Laszlo Basternak.
Alena Zsuzsova will thus serve 21 years in prison for her involvement in the murder.
The court also confirmed sentences for Roman Ostruzlik and Vladimir Mosnar who were previously sent to prison for 25 years by the Specialised Criminal Court.
Ostruzlik ordered the murder of Basternak in 2010, while Zsuzsova was a mediator of the order. In addition to the murder of the Hurbanovo ex-mayor, Zsuzsova has also been charged with attempted murders of Prosecutor-General Maros Zilinka, Special Prosecutor Daniel Lipsic and prosecutor Peter Sufliarsky.
