Croatia: Kollar and Jandrokovic Discuss Investments and Pandemic

Zagreb/Bratislava, November 15 (TASR-correspondent) - The COVID-19 pandemic, cooperation in trade and tourism and European policies were the thrust of a meeting between Slovak House Chair Boris Kollar and his Croatian counterpart Gordan Jandrokovic on Monday. Kollar is on an official visit to Croatia. Both officials concurred that ties between the two countries are cordial, with a vibrant economic cooperation. As for tourism, Croatia is considered by both Kollar and Jandrokovic a stable vacation destination for Slovak holidaymakers. Their discussion also explored options of bolstering the number of Croatian tourists vacationing in the Slovak High Tatras mountain range in the winter season. Jandrokovic thanked Slovakia for its support for Croatia's effort to join the Schengen zone and the eurozone. Kollar declared that this support will continue. As for expanding the EU into the western Balkans, Kollar underlined the need to stabilise the region and create a buffer zone. mf/mcs
