Nad: Slovakia Talks with EU on Compensation for Material Donated to Ukraine

Bratislava, April 25 (TASR) - Slovakia is intensively negotiating with the European Union (EU) on compensation for the military material donated to Ukraine, with the talks also concerning the reimbursement of the S-300 air defence system, Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad (OLaNO) posted on a social network on Monday. "Slovakia has so far helped Ukraine with military material worth around €62 million and also provided the S-300 anti-missile and anti-aircraft system worth approximately €68 million," pointed out spokeswoman for the Defence Ministry Martina Koval Kakascikova, adding that the discussion on how to provide support continues. The spokesperson added that the evaluation of refund applications within the European Union takes place in several stages. According to her, the final amount and date when the costs will be reimbursed also depend on the number of requests received from EU member states and the amount of their requests. am/mcs
