Bratislava, May 10 (TASR) - I'm not disturbed by any names in the upcoming caretaker government, MP and chairman of the extra-parliamentary Voice-SD Peter Pellegrini said following his meeting on Wednesday with President Zuzana Caputova, who presented to him nominations for cabinet members. Pellegrini still doesn't plan to express confidence in the government. However, he promises support for measures to help people and address crisis situations. "It has a chance to be a technically better government than the ones of Igor Matovic and Eduard Heger but I don't think that it will be a government that will move Slovakia forward, it doesn't have the mandate to do so. Rather, we should expect it to calm the situation and ensure pragmatic, technical, professional management of the day-to-day agenda of the state," stated Pellegrini, noting that it's necessary to prepare for the early parliamentary election, where the political parties will fight with their programmes. According to him, the caretaker government should first of all deal with the recovery plan and EU funds. He also pointed out that it'll have to prepare the budget and ensure control of public finances. He concurred with the president that the cabinet shouldn't come up with any cultural and ideological issues. On Wednesday, President Zuzana Caputova continued her meetings with leaders of parliamentary political parties. She is expected to appoint the caretaker cabinet into office next week. am/mcs
