Slovak and Hungarian Police Clarify Murder of Slovak Businessman

Bratislava/Budapest, May 23 (TASR-correspondent) - Hungarian and Slovak police have clarified the murder of Slovak businessman Tibor Sz. from the village of Cícov in the Komarno district (Nitra region). In this connection, the Hungarian police issued an international warrant for Gergely S., while three other suspects have already been detained, representatives of Slovak and Hungarian polices announced at a joint news conference in Budapest on Tuesday.
The three detainees are Slovak citizens - two of them were detained in Slovakia and one of them in Hungary.
The businessman made the last phone call on May 2 in the village of Travnik (Nitra region) and his family subsequently reported him as missing. His burnt car was found on May 3 near the town of Papa in north-western Hungary. The buried body of the murdered man was found by a police dog on May 12. The businessman's identity was confirmed by an autopsy.
Rudolf Patka, the director of the National Crime Agency (NAKA) West department said that the Slovak police have launched a criminal prosecution for the crime of premeditated murder that happened on May 2. The most important biological traces were recorded at the crime scene, in the family house. Evidence related to the weapon used and the cartridge were found there as well.
