Bratislava, May 29 (TASR) - Independent MPs affiliated with the extra-parliamentary Democrats party won't support a special House session on the package of laws. At a news conference on Monday they called on OLANO and Friends MPs to withdraw their signatures from the session's convening. They disagree with several bills that should be included in its agenda. Independent MP Juraj Seliga objected several proposals from the session's agenda, chiefly drafts regarding Section 363 of the Penal Code, sponsored by MP Tomas Taraba. According to Seliga, these would de facto mean abolition of the special prosecutor's service and the institute of cooperating plea-bargain seekers. Ex-premier and Independent MP Eduard Heger added, that many "campaign" bills should be discussed at the session, pointing to their impact on the state budget. "Instead of reasonable proposals to help Slovakia, the campaign ones have rather been included in the agenda," he said. OLANO and Friends on Friday (May 26) announced on Friday that they will initiate a special House session due to start on Monday morning. They want to discuss all bills that were not discussed at the previous session, as the session was concluded before the vote on the package of laws. The party said it doesn't want to select the points for the special session and, therefore, it will suggest all the pending drafts to be included in its agenda. ko
