Bratislava, May 29 (TASR) - The extra-parliamentary Most-Hid 2023 and Blues - European Slovakia parties will run on a joint slate in the upcoming snap general election, with Blues leader Mikulas Dzurinda taking the number one position on the slate, followed by Most-Hid leader Lazslo Solymos, the two of them reported at a press conference on Monday. "I was very pleased with the alliance between Blues and Most-Híd. Despite the fact that there was not much time, we managed to achieve it because this alliance is only natural," Dzurinda said, noting that the parties are close to each other in terms of values and ideology. Solymos said that the Blues and Most-Hid want to "put Slovakia's economy on its feet", cultivate social discourse and political culture and address the problems of minorities. According to Dzurinda, the two parties' manifesto is still being drafted. "So far, we have agreed on everything that is needed to submit a joint candidate slate. The general political agreement is there, and we are accelerating the work on the manifesto... as well as on technical and personnel matters," he said. The parties at the same time declared that they are ready and willing to include other political parties on their joint slate. Dzurinda stated that no talks to this effect are taking place currently, however. zel/mcs
