Globsec Forum 2024 to Take Place in Prague under Auspices of Czech President

Bratislava, March 5 (TASR) - This year's Globsec Forum will take place in Prague from August 30 to September 1, with the decision to hold the event in the Czech Republic being the result of Globsec's long-term efforts to bolster its Central European brand identity and to diversify its activities across Central Europe, TASR has learnt from Henrieta Kunova of Globsec. "The decision to hold the Globsec Forum 2024 in Prague this year is a symbolic step towards greater regional cooperation. Prague's rich history and strategic importance make it an ideal place to promote international dialogue and spread the constructive voice of Central Europe," said Globsec head and founder Robert Vass, praising the fact that the event will take place under the auspices of Czech President Petr Pavel. The Czech president considers Globsec to be an important international conference that contributes to the cultivation of dialogue on foreign and security policy issues. One of the reasons behind the decision to move the forum to the Czech capital, according to the organisers, is an increased global interest in the event. Vass said that the Globsec Forum wants to be a platform for constructive dialogue within the transatlantic community, but also with other partners from different parts of the world. "The international security situation is unprecedented. The stability of the world order has been fundamentally undermined and will be further tested on multiple fronts. In Ukraine, in the Middle East and in other parts of the world," he remarked. According to Vass, Globsec "aspires to be a Central European organisation with global reach, not a local organisation with regional reach". The organisation's headquarters will remain in Bratislava, however. It plans to continue developing the Tatra Summit conference in Slovakia, while at the same time it'll bolster its activities in Slovakia that focus on economic development, investment, innovation and the future of Europe. "Globsec is a successful and proud brand made in Slovakia that has outgrown the borders of Slovakia and Central Europe. If it wants to have global aspirations, it must continue to bolster its Central European scope. That's why we are diversifying our activities in Central Europe," added Vass. zel
