Twenty-Four Parties and One Coalition Submit Slates for EP Elections (2)

Bratislava, March 11 (TASR) - A total of 24 political parties and one coalition have submitted their slates for the European Parliament (EP) elections in June, the Interior Ministry's press department has informed TASR. The slates feature 324 candidates. The deadline to submit slates for the EP elections expired at midnight on Sunday (March 10). The ministry said that the State Commission for Elections and Supervision of the Financing of Political Parties will examine the slates by March 20 and register those meeting conditions set by law by March 30. The ministry added that immediately after they are registered, the state election commission will determine the number allocated to each political party and coalition by lot. Slovaks will elect their 15 MEPs for five-year periods on Saturday, June 8.
