Bratislava, May 13 (TASR) - Investments, Regional Development and Informatisation Minister Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) is scheduled to attend an informal meeting of ministers of the Visegrad Four (V4) countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) and seven other EU member states responsible for cohesion policy in Prague on Tuesday (May 14), the ministry's communication department told TASR on Monday, adding that the main point of the meeting will be to sign a joint declaration on the future of cohesion policy after 2027.
"The declaration takes into account Slovakia's key priorities, including the application of a regionally focused approach reflecting territorial specificities and differences, maintaining support for all regions with the main focus on the least developed ones, which are a priority for us, and regions in a development trap, and adapting the rules of cohesion policy to the changed socio-economic and political realities," said Rasi.
The Slovak minister is also set to hold bilateral talks in Prague with EU Commissioner for Cohesion and Reform Elisa Ferreira, Polish Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Katarzyna Pełczynska-Nałęcz, as well as with the Czech Republic's Minister for Local Development Ivan Bartos.
