(TA3, 'V politike', May 26) It will be better if current Investment Minister Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) and not Slovak National Party (SNS) leader Andrej Danko becomes House chair with regards to the difference between the Voice-SD and SNS parties, MP Marian Viskupic (Freedom and Solidarity/SaS) said on TA3's discussion programme 'V politike' (In Politics) on Sunday. Economy Minister Denisa Sakova (Voice-SD), also on the show, reiterated that they insist on Rasi's nomination. She noted that Danko is also running in the EP elections and that the situation changes every day. "Andrej Danko today doesn't know if he wants to be an MEP, the House chair, or if he wants another ministry, so we work with a different scenario every day," said Sakova in connection with the coalition debate on the name of the new House chair. Nevertheless, the coalition will discuss all the issues behind the closed door, she added. Viskupic believes that Rasi would be a much better solution. "We're able to talk about a potential support for him," he said. Sakova stressed that both the governing coalition and the Voice-SD party stand behind Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD) as the Interior Minister in connection with the security detail's action regarding the assassination attempt on Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD). There's need to wait until the Inspection Service Office completes its investigation into the action and only then it will be possible to say whether the action was okay or not, she said. In reaction, Viskupic said that ministers in other countries often resign though they don't bear a direct responsibility for what happened. However, he agrees with examination of the action. Sakova said that Sutaj Estok was chosen as the future Voice-SD chair by the party founder and president-elect Peter Pellegrini. She agrees with the choice, as she views Sutaj Estok young, vital and active. Sakova and Viskupic concurred that Slovakia needs reconciliation following the attack on the premier. Both SaS and Voice-SD are ready to sit at the round table of parliamentary parties. Viskupic added that his party has been doing a decent opposition policy and that there's nothing to change about it. He said that protests were relatively decent as well, adding that no more opposition protests are planned for now. ko
