Government to Deal with Lex Assassination Attempt on Wednesday

Bratislava, June 12 (TASR) - At its session on Wednesday the government will deal with the so-called Lex Assassination Attempt, submitted by Defence Minister Robert Kalinak (Smer-SD), which is aimed at introducing measures to improve the security situation in Slovakia. The cabinet should also discuss launching the reconstruction of Rusovce manor house, a neo-classical mansion located in Bratislava's borough of Rusovce. The tender for the national cultural monument's reconstruction was announced in mid-December 2019, but the procedure was hampered by several proceedings regarding objections filed during individual tender stages. The Public Procurement Office (UVO) repeatedly examined objections to the tender assessment. The goal of reconstructing Rusovce manor house is to restore the facility so that it can be used for representative purposes, while at the same time making it accessible to the public. The Interior Ministry has submitted for the session the National Action Plan to Fight Terrorism until 2027. It contains 30 tasks aimed at prevention, protection, readiness and coordination. The goal is to expand the tools available to fight terrorism in Slovakia and to respond to changes in the security environment. ko/df
