Nitra Region: Five Confirmed Train Crash Victims

Bratislava, June 27 (TASR) - The number of confirmed dead following the Thursday's collision of a bus with EuroCity train near the town of Nove Zamky (Nitra region) has gone up to five, it follows from updated reports released by the Emergency Medical Service on a social network. "According to the information from the crews out on the call, five individuals suffered fatal injuries. In addition, at least five other persons are injured," posted the Operational Centre. The collision occurred at Dvorska Cesta II/1503 street near Nove Zamky shortly after 5 p.m., at a railway crossing equipped with gate arms and light signals. mf
