Susko Doesn't Consider Another Special House Session on Penal Code Necessary

Bratislava, July 25 (TASR) - Justice Minister Boris Susko (Smer-SD) doesn't believe that any additional special session of Parliament will be necessary over the issue of the Penal Code, as he maintains that all comments of consequence voiced by the European Commission have already been incorporated into the legislation. "I hold that we've incorporated all fundamental objections of the European Commission already and as for other objections still on the table, we're trying to explain those to the European Commission gradually," Susko declared at a press conference on Thursday. Susko added that some of the European Commission's reservations originate from its incorrect information, such as its objections raised with respect to the revised punishment of property forfeiture. mf/mcs
