Bratislava, September 9 (TASR) - House Special Committee for the Supervision of National Security Authority (NBU) chair Roman Mikulec (Slovakia-For the People-KU) plans to convene an extraordinary session next week to discuss current security issues, TASR learnt on Monday. Mikulec pointed out that the opposition wanted to address the issues also at a committee session earlier on Monday, but the coalition rejected adding new items to the agenda. "We tried together with our colleagues in the opposition to add to the session agenda also current issues that resonate in the society, such as bombing attacks in schools and the alleged procurement of Pegasus spyware. On a more personal note, I'd like to inquire about current issues regarding security clearances of some members of the National Criminal Agency," said Mikulec. Committee member Jan Hargas (PS) criticised the coalition for turning down the motion to add new items to the session's agenda. "The coalition is sabotaging another supervisory committee of Parliament. Therefore, on behalf of PS, we asked committee chair Roman Mikulec to convene an extraordinary session on these important matters," he said. mf/mcs
