Bratislava, September 17 (TASR) - Two MPs for the governing Voice-SD party, Samuel Migal and Radomir Salitros, didn't take part in the vote on opposition Progressive Slovakia (PS) party leader Michal Simecka's dismissal from the House vice-chair post on Tuesday. Migal said he doesn't care who sits in the opposition's post of House vice-chair, but he thinks that this issue is unnecessarily polarising society. He said that he didn't want to defend Simecka with his decision, but he thinks that there are more important issues to be addressed. He didn't want to comment on his colleagues in the coalition, simply saying he can see politicking behind it that needlessly polarises society. Salitros is of a similar opinion, claiming that Simecka's dismissal cannot halt the polarisation of society. "This was the reason why I decided not to vote at the last minute," he said. He declined to say whether he's been reproached by the party leadership or by his coalition partners. Simecka was dismissed from the House vice-chair post with 76 votes from the 77 MPs present for the vote earlier on Tuesday. Opposition MPs said in advance that they wouldn't take part in the vote, while Voice-SD MPs said they would support his dismissal. The proposal was filed by MPs for Smer-SD and the Slovak National Party (SNS). The main stated reasons for the move was the use of state subsidies by people close to the PS chief and suspicions of manipulation in the allocation of subsidies. Simecka rejected the criticism, viewing the proposal as revenge for carrying out his opposition job well. ko/df
