Estok: Ministry Selects Two Properties for Housing of Constitutional Officials

Bratislava, September 20 (TASR) - The Interior Ministry has so far selected two state-owned properties for the accommodation of the most senior constitutional officials, Minister Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD) told TASR on Friday, adding that the presidential villa in the Slavin area in Bratislava is unusable from the security and technical points of view. "Market research is underway and we'll try to find a suitable property in some kind of bidding process," said Sutaj Estok, noting that the renovation of the buildings to security standard won't cost "substantial amounts". The president, the parliamentary chair and the premier became entitled to state-provided housing after the adoption of the Lex Assassination Attempt in connection with the assassination attempt on Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) in May this year. am/mcs
