The exhibition showcases works by leading Slovak modern and late-modern creative artists, including by many who took part in the SNP. It features anti-fascist posters, stamps, statues of partisans, studies on individual works with an SNP theme, and busts of SNP organisers and other figures of the anti-fascist resistance. An original edition of the insurgent Pravda daily is also on display. "At the time of one of the most significant anniversaries, the 80th anniversary of this famous historical event, we will recall the fact that those fighting against fascism and Nazism were fighting for the values of democracy. Our artists proudly expressed themselves and still express themselves regarding this exceptional, victorious, but also tragic theme and initiative," said SZPB chairman Viliam Longauer during the opening of the exhibition. ko/df
