Fico Invites Opposition Leaders to Talks on Consolidation

Bratislava, September 23 (TASR) - Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) has invited the chairmen of opposition parties Progressive Slovakia (PS), Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) and the Christian Democrats (KDH) to talks on consolidating public finances that would be held at the Government Office at 9.30 a.m. on Tuesday (September 24), according to an announcement posted by the premier on a social network. "I'm convinced that the consolidation of public finances is a must on which not only all parliamentary political parties, but also social partners should agree. At the same time, I can see with all seriousness that there are different opinions on the content of consolidation and that your party is among the critical opponents," wrote Fico in the invitations addressed to the opposition leaders. ko/df
