SNS: Pellegrini Embarrassed Himself with Comments on Danko

Bratislava, September 23 (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini embarrassed himself with his statements concerning Slovak National Party (SNS) leader Andrej Danko on Monday, SNS spokeswoman Zuzana Skopcova told TASR on the same day, adding that the president shouldn't interfere in struggles between parties. "We regret that the president has brought himself on the level of the spokesperson of Voice-SD with his statements. It's a surprise to us how he insulted and personally attacked SNS head Andrej Danko," Skopcova said. According to the spokeswoman, the president's statements showed that he can't detach himself from his position as former head of Voice. Earlier in the day, Pellegrini said that Danko has no mandate to set the tone of domestic politics, adding that he fails to comprehend Danko's aim in a recent dispute with Voice, a party forming the governing coalition along with SNS and Smer-SD zel/mcs
