MPs Start Tuesday's Session with Transport Ministry's Legislative Proposals

Bratislava, September 24 (TASR) - MPs began the third week and eighth day of the ongoing parliamentary session on Tuesday with a debate on a series of proposals sponsored by the Transport Ministry. First, they are dealing with the government's draft amendment to the Railway Act. In line with the new legislation, the minimum age for applying for an engine driver's licence valid in Slovakia should be reduced to 19. At the same time, the conditions for operating special railways should be simplified. The Transport Ministry proposed the changes based on knowledge obtained from practice. ko/df
