Man Attacks Medical Personnel, Receives Suspended Sentence

Bratislava, September 25 (TASR) - Zdenko J. [name abbreviated due to legal reasons], who attacked a fellow patient and medical personnel in late June at Kramare hospital in Bratislava, has been found guilty by Bratislava City Court I and given a suspended sentence of 14 months with 18 months of probation, TASR learnt from spokesperson of the Bratislava Regional Prosecutor's Office Gabriela Kovacova on Wednesday. The court also ordered Zdenko J. to pay financial compensation to the aggrieved parties. Zdenko J. physically attacked another patient at Kramare hospital's emergency department and subsequently also a nurse and another member of the medical personnel. The hospital staff suffered light-to-medium injuries to their faces and arms. mf/df
