Bratislava, October 3 (TASR) - The Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatisation (MIRRI) will launch courses as part of the 'Digital Seniors' project, aimed to improve the quality of the lives of seniors and people with health disabilities younger than 18 by equipping them with tablets and training them how to navigate the digital domain and communicate with their relatives and state authorities, Investment Minister Richard Rasi (Voice-SD) announced on Thursday. The project will be financed with €41 million, allocated under the Recovery and Resilience Plan. "Seniors across the whole of Slovakia must receive what was promised to them and that's sensible courses, where they are going to receive really high-quality tablets," said Rasi. Rasi added that 500 individuals will undertake the courses in the first round, with a total of 25,000 people registered in total. The aim is to train up to 105,000 individuals to develop their digital skills. mf/mcs
