RRZ: Income of Average Family to Shrink by 1.5% Due to Consolidation Measures

dnes 11:01
Bratislava, October 4 (TASR) - The available income of the average family will shrink by 1.5 percent or by €270 next year in the wake of consolidation measures, with the package of measures set to affect mostly middle-income families, the Council for Budgetary Responsibility (RRZ) stated on Friday. "The overall drop in available income for the average family will be caused mostly by cuts to 'parental pensions', followed by VAT rate changes and cuts in tax bonuses for children," added the council. Aside from the measures to be introduced by the new legislation, previous measures such as a full 13th pension will be a factor as well, along with higher prices charged by firms to compensate for hikes in VAT, corporate tax for companies and the new tax on financial transactions, said RRZ. mf/df
