Bratislava, October 4 (TASR) - A man who allegedly approved of the assassination attempt on Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) on a social networking site has been taken into custody, TASR was told by spokeswoman for the Specialised Criminal Court (STS) Katarina Kudjakova on Friday. The spokeswoman further explained that the reason for J.K.'s [name abbreviated due to legal reasons] custody is the fear of possible escape and the continuation of criminal activity. "The court's decision is not final, as the accused has filed a complaint against it, which will be decided by the Supreme Court," added Kudjakova. Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD) informed on Thursday (October 3) about charges pressed against a man with initials J.K. According to the minister, the stand-up comedian claimed in his performance that the assassination attempt on the premier was a moral failure. In a video posted on a social network, J.K. said that the assassin should have hit Fico in the forehead. According to the minister, the case dates back to October 1 and the man was charged with the offence of certain forms of participation in terrorism. The prime minister was shot following an away-from-home cabinet meeting in Handlova (Trencin region) on May 15 by Juraj C. [name abbreviated due to legal reasons], who is now being prosecuted for a particularly serious crime of terrorist attack. The attacker caused several serious injuries by shooting at the premier five times from a close range. am/mcs
