Sutaj Estok Proposes Kamil Sasko as Health Minister to Premier

Bratislava, October 9 (TASR) - Co-governing Voice-SD party leader and Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok has posted on a social network that he's proposed Kamil Sasko for the health minister post to Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD). Sasko is currently serving as an Economy Ministry state secretary. "We insist that health care is the number-one priority, despite the necessary cost savings. Therefore, Voice-SD has decided to nominate for the post a person whose task it will be to set up effective management and financing of the health-care sector. Kamil Sasko is a respected expert with huge international experience who currently holds a state secretary post at the Economy Ministry," wrote the Voice-SD leader. He pointed to Sasko's economic and managerial education. According to Sutaj Estok, he will bring a combination of strategic thinking and practical skills to the post. "He's won the full trust of Voice-SD and its coalition partners with his clear vision and emphasis on effective management," added Sutaj Estok. Sutaj Estok believes that Sasko will be able to continue important projects, communicate with health-care professionals and bring solutions that will provide better conditions for medical staff and better care for patients in Slovakia. "I would like to thank Zuzana Dolinkova for her selfless work as health minister," said the Voice-SD leader, praising her work so far. He also stressed that the disruption of finances for the health-care sector was fully deepened during the "catastrophic management of the pandemic". ko/df
