Bratislava, October 11 (TASR) - The Agricultural Payments Agency (PPA) will have its accreditation extended as of October 16 this year, Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Richard Takac (Smer-SD) stated on Friday at a briefing, with State Secretaries Jozef Smatana and Vladimir Vnuk, and PPA head Marek Cepek in attendance. "I'd like to hand over to the PPA general director the decision that we grant permanent accreditation to the payments agency from October 16, 2024 to October 15, 2027," stated Takac. According to Takac, PPA is becoming an agency that is pro-client and open and that meets the needs of its clients - applicants. "I believe that in some time, it won't be weeks or months, we'll manage to turn PPA into an agency that will work for their clients transparently, with reduced red tape, efficiently and simply," stressed the agriculture minister. The PPA head stated that the granting of accreditation is an essential condition for the agency to be able to run in the coming years. "For at least three quarters of a year we've been preparing for PPA to meet all system requirements and to operate as the European Commission and the Agriculture Ministry as the founder envisage," added Cepko. am
