Survey: 87% of Slovak Internet Users Visit Social Media Daily

Bratislava, October 12 (TASR) - All generations of Slovaks use social media with increasing frequency, with up to 95 percent of the internet users visiting them at least once a week and 87 percent every day, it follows from a survey conducted by AMI Digital. The survey called AMI Digital Index was conducted on 1,031 internet users in Slovakia. According to the data garnered, the Slovaks prefer accessing the social media on their smartphones (87 percent), with only a minority of them using a laptop (33 percent) or a PC (23 percent) to that purpose. The preference for smartphones applies across all age groups. "This year's survey shows that even though the Slovaks spend somewhat less time on social media than in previous years, they use them more often," stated AMI Digital head Vladan Crha, adding that this trend was seen not only among the youngest users but, surprisingly, also respondents in the 44-59 age category. mf/ko
