Bratislava, October 14 (TASR) - The Medical Trade Union (LOZ) came to Monday's meeting with Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) to remind the government of the commitments that it made to the health-care sector in 2022 when signing a memorandum with doctors, said LOZ head Peter Visolajsky before meeting Sasko at the ministry, pointing out that doctors have already started handing in their regular notices of resignation, while the number of signed refusals to engage in overtime is also on the rise. "We keep coming here with the same requests. These are the eight points that we proposed to improve the Slovak health-care system. They are written in a memorandum between the Slovak government and doctors. It's an agreement that ended the notices of resignation in 2022," stated Visolajsky. Asked if LOZ is prepared to back down from its demands, Visolajsky replied that it came to address the health-care sector. "We've come to greet the minister, to explain things to him, how those demands of ours are constructed and why we have arguments and justifications to back them up, so this is what we're going to discuss," stated the union boss. am/df
