Luxembourg, October 14 (TASR-correspondent) - The new EU sanctions package against Iran doesn't go against Slovakia's interests, Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD) stated on Monday after the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Luxembourg, TASR learn on the same day. Blanar confirmed that EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg had approved sanctions against Iran. The reason was the supply of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia. "On behalf of the Slovak Republic, I have to provide a clear position, which we've communicated and put in the Government Manifesto, that we'll support any sanctions only if they don't have an impact on the economy and the standard of living of the Slovak population. I can state that the sanctions that we've imposed against individuals and legal entities of Iran have no impact on the economy of Slovakia and the standard of living of Slovaks," said the minister. am
