Bratislava, October 16 (TASR) - Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) didn't request a report on the May 15 assassination attempt against him from the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS). "It's all nonsense," he told a news conference on Wednesday. "If anyone requested anything, these were opposition MPs at a meeting of the respective parliamentary committee for the supervision of the SIS," said Fico. According to him, SIS director Pavol Gaspar will confirm the information that he hasn't asked for any report. Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok (Voice-SD) on Tuesday (October 15) said that the premier, as an authorised recipient of the information, requested a report from the SIS on the security risks connected with another potential assassination attempt on him. According to the Interior Ministry, he has a legitimate right to do so due to his post. "He no way meant the report on the May 15 assassination attempt in Handlova (Trencin region)," said the ministry. The ministry said that SIS is working on the report in cooperation with the Police Corps. The report should be presented by the end of the year to MPs and, within legal possibilities, to the public as well, in order to prevent the spread of conspiracy theories in connection with the assassination attempt. ko/mcs
