Bratislava Airport to Switch to Winter Flight Schedule as of October 27

Bratislava, October 16 (TASR) - M.R. Stefanik in Bratislava will switch to the winter flight schedule as of October 27, airport spokesperson Veronika Demovicova announced on Wednesday. "During the winter season, five airlines will provide regular flights to 19 destinations from the Bratislava airport. In addition, passengers can use charter flights to get directly to 12 exotic destinations in 11 countries," said airport general director Dusan Novota. In the winter season, flights to Egypt, particularly to the resorts of Hurghada and Marsa Alam, will be served once a week. Direct flights from Bratislava to Dubai are scheduled twice a week. There will also be regular flights to London and Skopje in North Macedonia. Regular flights to Istanbul will continue in the winter, with this destination being served three-times a week. The novelty will be the first-ever flights from the Bratislava airport with a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, known as the Dreamliner. Charter flights with this plane will be launched as of October 30. The plane offers 355 seats and three various classes: economic, premium and business light. Dreamliner will fly from Bratislava to Mauritius and Phuket (Thailand). Travellers will be able to fly to 12 exotic destinations from the Bratislava airport in the winter. Direct flights from Bratislava are planned to Qatar, Bahrain, Dubai, Salalah and Muscat in Oman, as well as to the islands of Mauritius and Phuket. Flights to Zanzibar, the Dominican Republic, Vietnam, Cuba and Hurghada will continue to be offered as well. ko/mcs
