Brussels, October 18 (TASR-correspondent) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's 'victory plan' is controversial, Slovak Premier Robert Fico (Smer-SD) said in Brussels on Friday, adding that he doesn't consider Kiev's membership in NATO to be a good idea. Fico said that the summit three main issues were on the agenda of the summit: developments in Ukraine, the crisis in the Middle East and migration. The premier reiterated that he supports Ukraine's EU membership. However, he thinks that its membership in NATO, which is one of the points of Zelenskyy's 'victory plan', could trigger the third world war. According to Fico, it is a controversial plan that divides countries, which is why the European Council hasn't adopted a clear position on it. Fico reiterated that Russia violated the international law by invading Ukraine and seizing its territory. However, he doesn't like proposals that stir an open debate, such as Ukraine's entry into NATO and the delivery of medium-range missiles capable of hitting targets in Russia. "I told all EU leaders, in the presence of President Zelenskyy, that the philosophy of the government led by me still holds and that we want to focus on meaningful and rational cooperation with Ukraine, the result of which should not be killing, but helping people in need," explained Fico. He noted that already the fourth joint Ukrainian- government session should be held in January or February in Slovakia. ko/mcs
