Tapakova: Statements about Chaos in SND Misleading and Disparaging

Bratislava, October 18 (TASR) - Slovak National Theatre (SND) general manager Zuzana Tapakova considers the statements about the chaotic and gloomy atmosphere in the theatre to be misleading and disparaging the work and approach of the management as well as the employees of the theatre. Tapakova said this on Friday in response to the statements of deputy chairwoman of the House culture and media committee Zora Jaurova (Progressive Slovakia/PS) after a parliamentary inquiry in SND. Tapakova declares that there have been no changes in the theatre's programme plan with the arrival of the new management. "I think that all the representatives and individual directors convinced the MPs that they are experts and professionals in their field. I'm sorry about the statements made by the deputy chairwoman of the parliamentary culture and media committee Zora Jaurova 'about the chaotic and gloomy atmosphere in the institution' and I consider them to be misleading and in a way disparaging the work and approach of the management as well as the employees of the theatre," said Tapakova in a SND statement, which was sent to TASR by the theatre's press secretary Izabela Pazitkova. am/mcs
