SAIA: Slovaks Can Gain Scholarships for Studies and Research in 22 Countries

Bratislava, October 21 (TASR) - Slovaks can gain scholarships for studies and research in 22 countries. These are scholarships stemming from bilateral inter-governmental agreements in the field of education and offers from foreign governments, which are administered by the Slovak Academic Information Agency (SAIA), TASR has learnt from the agency. Slovak university students, doctoral students, university graduates, university teachers and researchers can apply for these scholarships. "Over 60 scholarships are available for them in 22 countries - Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, China, Egypt, Greece, Croatia, India, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia, Switzerland and Ukraine," specified the agency. The deadline to send online applications is November 28, 2024, except for South Korea (February 2025) and Japan (May 2025). The offer in individual countries is different. "These can be short-term (several days to weeks) or long-term (several months to a year) study or research stays in the academic year 2025/2026 or summer language courses or summer schools in the summer of 2025," said SAIA, adding that more details are available at www.granty.saia.sk. ko/mcs
