Fico, Orban and Vucic Meet in Komarno to Discuss Irregular Migration

Komarno, October 22 (TASR-correspondent) - Prime Minister Robert Fico, his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met in the border town of Komarno in southwestern Slovakia on Tuesday morning to discuss irregular migration, the need to protect the EU's external borders as well as bolstering regional cooperation. The meeting will also focus on innovative solutions to stop irregular migration into Europe. According to the Government Office, Slovakia's long-standing position is that irregular migration needs to be tackled before the borders of the Union, a view shared by representatives of Hungary and Serbia. The interior ministers of the participating countries are also attending the meeting. zel/df
