Slovak Gov't Signs 13 Agreements and Memorandums with China

Beijing/Bratislava, November 1 (TASR) - Members of the Slovak Government who are accompanying Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) together with representatives of 56 businesses on his official visit to China signed a total of 13 agreements and memorandums, the Government Office reported on Friday.
The aim of the visit is to confirm a new quality of bilateral ties between the two countries.
Economy Minister Denisa Sakova (Voice-SD) signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Forming a Working Group for Investment and Economy Cooperation; Joint Declaration on the Strengthening of Economic Cooperation; Memorandum of Understanding on the Support for Investment Cooperation in Green Development; Memorandum on Joint Support for Industrial and Investment Cooperation and, on behalf of the Investment Ministry, the Memorandum of Understanding on Fomenting Investment Cooperation in the Sphere of Digital Economy.
Transport Minister Jozef Raz (Smer-SD nominee) signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Expanding Cooperation on China-Europe Railway Express, whereas Tourism and Sports Minister Dusan Keketi (SNS nominee) put to ink the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in Tourism.
Environment Minister Tomas Taraba (SNS nominee) signed Memorandum of Understanding in the Sphere of Green and Low-carbon Development, whereas Agricultural and Rural Development Minister Richard Takac (Smer-SD) signed the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in Prevention and Control of BSE.
Aside from this, head of the Authority for Standards, Metrology and Testing Pavol Pavlis signed the Memorandum of Understanding between his office and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China as well as 2024-2028 Action Plan on Cooperation.
Culture Minister Martina Simkovicova (SNS nominee) concluded the 2024-2028 Programme of Cooperation in Culture with the Chinese Culture Ministry.
