Bratislava, November 4 (TASR) - The annual report on the state of the rule of law applies to all EU-member states on the same basis, with the report drawn up on the basis of an established methodology that has been consulted with and subsequently approved by all EU countries, according to a statement of the European Commission that has been provided to TASR by the Representation of the European Commission in Slovakia in response to the Justice Ministry, which said last week that it'll hold talks with EC representatives on correcting mistakes in the EC's latest report on the rule of law in Slovakia. "The Commission works closely with EU-member states and takes into account contributions from various stakeholders, such as civil society organisations and international organisations," the EC said. The government last week reproached the EC for what it called inaccuracies and misleading statements in the report on the state of the rule of law in Slovakia. Meanwhile, the Judicial Council also opined that the report is biased and that it doesn't reflect the true state of affairs. zel
