ANS: Health Minister Sasko Should Start Talks with LOZ Without Delay

Bratislava, November 5 (TASR) - Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) should launch talks with the Doctors Labour Union (LOZ) about the mass notices filed by hospital doctors without delay, Slovak Hospitals Association (ANS) president Marian Petko declared on Tuesday. Representatives of ANS conveyed this stance to the Health Minister at their meeting earlier in the day, seeing as the departure of more than 3,000 doctors would pose a significant problem for the health system. "We call on all parties involved to engage in a constructive dialogue and to seek compromise solutions. It wasn't hospitals, after all, but the government that signed the 2022 memorandum with LOZ in the first place," stated Petko. mf
