President Pellegrini to Leave for Paris on Thursday for OECD Council Meeting

Bratislava, November 7 (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini is due to travel to Paris on Thursday, where he'll attend and speak at the meeting of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Council on Friday (November 8), the President Office's communication department told TASR on Thursday. During his stay in Paris, the Slovak head of state is scheduled to meet with OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann and with Slovaks working in the organisation. "The visit will also include extensive OECD presentations followed by a discussion on the results of studies focused on Slovakia, especially in the areas of education, digitalisation of education, artificial intelligence and governance. The president will also hold talks with executive director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) Fatih Birol," said the President Office. Education Minister Tomas Drucker (Voice-SD) and governor of Slovakia's central bank (NBS) Peter Kazimir will accompany the president during his working trip. am/mcs
