Putin Awarded Carnogursky Russian Order of Honour

Bratislava, November 11 (TASR) - Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded former prime minister and dissident Jan Carnogursky the Russian Order of Honour, Carnogursky himself told TASR on Monday, adding that this decoration is awarded for strengthening friendship and cooperation between the nations. The Russian award was presented to Carnogursky by Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov in Moscow last Wednesday (November 6). At the same time, he presented him with the Crimean decoration of Fidelity to Duty. "A meeting of the Yalta International Forum was held in Moscow and part of it, a meeting of the Coordination Council of the Friends of Crimea International Association. The Yalta International Forum was held in Moscow in view of the war events in Ukraine," said Carnogursky. am/mcs
