Stats: Four Sectors of Economy Saw Yearly Revenue Growth in September

Bratislava, November 12 (TASR) - As many as four of the five sectors of the economy monitored notched up yearly revenue growth in September, but only selected market services recorded double-digit growth, the Statistics Office has reported.
Revenues in industry increased by 0.5 percent year-on-year in fixed prices. This was only the third time this year that industry has notched up a revenue increase. Of the 16 branches of industry monitored, six recorded higher yearly revenues.
Revenues in selected market services rose by 11.6 percent year-on-year, growing at a double-digit pace for the third time this year. After a decline in August, revenues in transport and warehousing grew slightly - by 0.3 percent. Revenues in the IT sector increased by 3.8 percent, with the pace of growth accelerating slightly.
Construction companies saw revenues fall by 10 percent year-on-year, the third double-digit decline in 2024. Revenues in construction decreased in yearly terms for the thirteenth consecutive month.
Seasonally adjusted, revenues rose in monthly terms in four of the five sectors monitored - in industry by 2 percent; in transport and warehousing by 0.7 percent; in the IT sector by 0.5 percent; and in selected market services by 0.3 percent. Only construction recorded a month-on-month decline, of 1.3 percent.
