Bratislava, November 12 (TASR) - Trencin University Hospital has a new management as Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) on Tuesday dismissed Michal Plesnik from the post of director and appointed Lubos Chmelar to the post, the Health Ministry's communication department told TASR on Tuesday, adding that Chmelar will head the health facility until the position is filled by a successful candidate in a selection procedure. "The personnel change aims to make the hospital more efficient. Chmelar is a graduate of the University of Economics in Bratislava. He has thirty years of managerial experience in various industries and sectors. The new Trencin hospital director took up the position for a fixed period of time, until a successful candidate from a selection procedure fills the post according to the provisions of the relevant law," they added. Sasko announced personnel changes in the management of Trencin hospital back at the end of October. Several opposition parties appealed for the removal of Plesnik from the post of director, pointing to problems in the cardiology and paediatric wards. am/mcs
