Bratislava, November 14 (TASR) - Marek Mikle, a long-term communications expert, has become the new head of Greenpeace Slovakia, replacing Katarina Jurikova, who began leading Greenpeace's European campaign in the field of agriculture in February, Greenpeace Slovakia's secretary Miroslava Abelova has stated.
In addition to tackling the climate crisis, Greenpeace Slovakia is currently focusing on developing energy communities, protecting forests and addressing international issues such as ocean conservation and plastic pollution. The NGO also aims to tackle key national issues, such as safeguarding democracy and freedom in Slovakia. Greenpeace Slovakia seeks to remain a strong base for people and activists committed to protecting nature while fostering democratic values and critical thinking.
Mikle's career began as a copywriter for an advertising agency, and he later served as a marketing department manager, leading large teams in banks and insurance companies. He has extensive experience in communications, marketing and customer satisfaction. He is a university lecturer and trains aspiring and experienced managers.
