President Receives Repcekova, Highlighting Compatriot Activities

Bratislava, November 19 (TASR) - President Peter Pellegrini received head of the Office for Slovaks Living Abroad Dagmar Repcekova at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday, the President's Office told TASR on the same day, adding that the head of state praised the activities of compatriots and expressed his support for them. "All their activities that spread the good name of Slovakia will always have my full support, I'll always be happy to listen to them and help open the door of dialogue with other state institutions," said the president, declaring that he's interested in the problems and lives of compatriots and noting that he has met communities of Slovaks on each of his trips abroad so far. Pellegrini and Repcekova also discussed the current challenges faced by compatriots as well as by associations of Slovaks living in Poland, the Czech Republic, Serbia and by the Slovak Catholic Mission in France. Repcekova informed Pellegrini about modernisation projects in the USA and planned visits to Slovak diasporas. am/df
