Bratislava, November 19 (TASR) - Total sum needed for the state aid with energy prices next year will be known in mid-December. However, it should fit into next year's state budget without the need for its fundamental revision, Finance Minister Ladislav Kamenicky (Smer-SD) told the meeting of the parliamentary financial affairs committee that dealt with the government's state budget draft on Tuesday. The committee hasn't yet adopted a resolution to the budget draft, it will return to it next Tuesday (November 26) when the last regular House session this year will start. Parliament traditionally passes the state budget for next year at this session. "From the political viewpoint and according to what the premier says, it is unbearable for energy prices to rise in Slovakia," stated Kamenicky. He noted that €235 million has been allocated from next year's budget for energy aid for now, however, most of this sum is expected to be used for additional payments for 2024. The energy aid scheme is being prepared by the Economy Ministry, but hasn't been presented yet. ko/mcs
