SaS: 2025 State Budget Unacceptable, We Won't Support It

Bratislava, November 25 (TASR) - The 2025 state budget proposal is unacceptable, drafted with the noticeable lack of expertise and will bear a negative impact on Slovakia's economic growth, chair of the Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party Branislav Groehling stated at a press conference held together with the Centre-right Bloc parties (non-parliamentary ODS, Forum and Blues-ES) on Monday. Because of this, SaS won't support the 2025 budget. "The budget will hurt everyone, inflict damage on businesses as well as households. It will deprive the people of money and slow down our economy," underlined Groehling. The only priority of the Government of Robert Fico (Smer-SD) is to fill up the state coffers in the short-term, at the expense of everyone else as well as the long-term sustainability of public finances, added Groehling. mf
