Bratislava, November 26 (TASR) - The financing model for a new unit at Jaslovske Bohunice nuclear power plant will depend, among on other matters, on who will be the contractor, said Economy Minister Deniska Sakova (Voice-SD) at a press conference on Tuesday regarding the government's decision to launch processes leading to the construction of the facility last week. According to the minister, the tender process for constructing the unit should be launched next year, and the contract with the contractor should be signed in April 2027. Sakova noted in this vein that state financing as well as funding from foreign public resources are being assessed, but both private and hybrid models could also be considered. According to Sakova, the total cost of building the new unit is currently estimated at €10 billion, based on the experience of the Czech Republic and Hungary. On November 20, the ministry warned that the construction costs will increase by 8-10 percent annually if the construction work is postponed. zel/df
