KDH Calling for Special Session of House Committee over Doctors' Resignations

dnes 16:22
Bratislava, November 26 (TASR) - The opposition Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) is demanding a special session of the House health affairs committee to address the situation concerning mass resignations of doctors, TASR learnt on Tuesday. KDH told TASR that its MPs Peter Stachura and Frantisek Majersky, both members of the committee, want Health Minister Kamil Sasko (Voice-SD) to attend the special session to present his solutions to the problem. At the same time, they want to invite all parties concerned to clarify doctors's demands, conditions and bottlenecks in negotiations with the Health Ministry. The MPs have reproached the minister for wanting to come up with measures to ensure the functioning of the health care system in regard to the resignations by the end of the year as they are of the opinion that this will be too late. zel/mcs
